process and benefits

Neurofeedback & qEEG Certification

Participants of the Neurofeedback and qEEG Basic Course or the qEEG Advanced Course at the brainboost Academy have the opportunity to obtain certification in these areas. Both individual and group training sessions qualify for certification.

Certification serves both as proof of professional qualification and competence and as a tool for quality assurance. By earning a specialized certificate, you not only increase your credibility and inspire trust among clients and patients, but also elevate the professionalism of your services through adherence to recognized quality standards and regular participation in continuing education.

Neurofeedback Certification

 

This certification confirms both a sound foundational knowledge of neurofeedback and the ability to conduct neurofeedback sessions safely and competently.

By submitting and having five sessions reviewed - at least one of which must be an initial consultation - we verify that you possess the required expertise.

You will receive a high-quality certificate and have the option to be listed on the brainboost Academy website and partner map.

​Requirements: 

  • Completion of the Neurofeedback and qEEG Basic Course

  • At least 1 initial consultation and 4 training sessions completed

  • 5 hours of supervision to discuss prepared cases as well as additional topics as needed (see “Supervision and Mentoring” for pricing). If you have already completed supervision hours with us, these may be credited.

qEEG Certification

 

This certification confirms both in-depth theoretical knowledge and the ability to reliably record and analyze quantitative EEG data.

In a four-hour session with a qEEG expert, you will review two case studies from your own practice. You will also gain insights into qEEG data for different clinical presentations, the interpretation of brain maps, statistical analyses, and the preparation of reports. These four hours can also be completed online.

Requirements:​

  • Completion of the Neurofeedback and qEEG Basic Course or the qEEG Advanced Course

  • Use of an EEG amplifier with at least 8 channels

  • Two case studies from your own practice

  • Four hours of case discussion plus knowledge transfer on qEEG data for various clinical presentations (included in the certification fee)

  • 5 hours of supervision (see “Supervision and Mentoring” for pricing). If you have already completed supervision hours with us, these may be credited.

Benefits of brainboost Certification

Those who complete certification with the brainboost Academy automatically become part of the brainboost Partner Network. Graduates receive a premium printed certificate as well as a digital seal for use on their own website.

For quality assurance and continuing education purposes, the certification is valid for a period of two years. All benefits apply during this time. By completing three supervision hours within the two-year period, the validity of the certificate - and thus all associated benefits - is automatically extended for an additional two years.
